Here are just a few shots from our day:



This morning the students we had breakfast together and had some small group time before heading to the Sunday service at the Star of Bethlehem Church of God in Christ. What an amazing experience this was for our students. Although the congregation of this church was small, their passion and desire to follow and worship Christ was huge. We experienced an amazing time of Intercessory prayer, amazing worship, students connected with complete strangers who are also brothers and sisters in Christ, we greeted the congregation and shared a few songs in worship with them. The people love and embraced us and we did the same.

We were invited to a Father's Day buffet where our students were chitlins and greens. We were able to sit and mingle with some more people from the church. What a spread. Lots of chicken, more chicken and sweet tea.

The afternoon we spent in the Capitol District asking God to direct and guide us to individuals to share in conversation. The challenge for our students in this mission was to simply initiate a conversation with people. If that conversation led to sharing why we were in DC then we absolutely wanted them to share. If it led for an opportunity to lead someone to Christ, to God be the Glory.

Here were some amazing things that happened:

Some students were rejected right of the bat but they learned to step out of their comfort zones and continue on.
Several students engaged in conversations with people for over 20 min., 30 min. and some even an hour
One student led 2 people to Christ

WOW!!! We spent some time sharing more of the students experiences as we looked at the Washington Monument. Many great and challenging stories.

Now it's time for bed but some more great ministry in store tomorrow. . .
